Citing a “substantial increase” in youth vaping this year versus 2017, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Scott Gottlieb this morning announced new steps to address youth e-cigarette use. The FDA gave five tobacco companies 60 days to submit plans describing how they will address youth access and use of their products.

UAE Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has confirmed that new tobacco taxes do not apply to departing passengers from Dubai airports. Only arriving passengers will have to pay the new 100% excise tax on all tobacco products, and only if they purchase more than 400 cigarettes.
